The goal of this form is to coordinate and provide the tools and materials you need to teach your upcoming class, as well as think through the details of teaching outside of your own studio if you're a new instructor.
The following larger tools are normally available in the Lab: Smith acetylene/air torches (2), anvils (2), wood stumps(3), vises (1 fixed, 1 clamp-on), small drill press, Durston shears, Pepe combo rolling mill, tumbler with stainless shot, self-contained sink.
The following hand tools are normally available in the Lab: Saw frames (7), safety glasses (7), benchpin/anvil (7), flexshafts (7), flexshaft chuck keys (7), adjustable bench light (7), soldering tweezers, thirdhands, annealing pans, soldering picks, ball peen hammers, rawhide hammers, steel and plastic forming hammers, chasing hammers (2), optivisor (1), digital calipers (1), tube-cutting jig (1), round disc-cutter (1), metal stamp tools (design, letter and number), ring mandrels (2), bracelet mandrels (3), bezel mandrels (4), stone-setting tools, burnishers (3), pliers and specialty forming pliers, hand and needle files, B&S gauges, bracelet gauge, hand vises(4), ring clamps(4), wood forming tools, metal forming stakes, sharpies, templates, rulers, scissors, masking tape.
The following consumables are normally available in the Lab: Disposable earplugs and gloves, flux, liver of sulfur, burlife, renaissance wax, pickle, baking soda, Simple Green cleaner, paper towels, shop rags, random burs and drill bits. IMPORTANT:If your class requires any hand tools or consumables not mentioned above, please let us know exactly what. With advance notice, we may be able to provide them. Examples: tracing paper, cardstock for model making, patinas, specific burs or files, alternative fluxes, cleaners, etc.
General Store: In the Lab we sell saw blades, solder (Hard, Medium and Easy), sandpaper (280 and 400), polishing cloths, and specialty tools and our mini cafe offers coffee, tea and snacks - all at modest prices.
