San Diego Continuing Education at West City, Point Loma This is the best bet for general jewelry/metals classes, all levels, at a reasonable rate. I taught at this facility from 2012-2018; it is well-equipped, the teachers are usually top-notch, and it's a great community of students too. Classes are usually 6-10 weeks long, and meet weekly for 3 hours or so. Next class is all levels, starting June 14, 2023
My neighbors, all upstairs at 2750 Historic Decatur Road: Studio Jules, studio 205 Jules Monroe teaches private and small classes in all sorts of jewelry topics, specializing in sterling silver, cabochon setting and torch-fired enamel. She's a great choice if you're looking for beginning classes, or shopping for a mother's day gift! www.studiojulessilversmith.com/
Gilmore Family Jewelers, studio 207 Get in touch with Gary or Beth if you need ring re-sizing, precious metal jewelry repair or want to commission a new ring for an inherited stone, etc. Yes they do repairs! https://gilmorefamilyjewelers.com/
Silver Raven Studio, studio 212 Have some experience with jewelry/metalworking but no studio of your own? Jean has two benches to rent, only $10 per hour or $25 all day, in her well-equipped studio (torches, rolling mill, press etc.) - what a deal! www.instagram.com/lssilverravenstudio/
