Fall Jewelry Classes at West City!

Fall class schedule up at West City - classes start September 9 and 12
WCCPL (West City Campus, Point Loma) is a top-notch jewelry/metals lab only about a mile away from Anneville Studio. With a class maximum of 20 and a large room full of professional  equipment, it is a vibrant and social place to learn. Registration for these classes is through the school, not me! Jewelry and Metalworking - Advanced 
Mondays, 10am-1pm, September 12 - December 12
cost $293
Our first project will focus on design by creating 4 simple pendants. Students will work with one geometric layout, then create variations based on different metals techniques such as sweat-soldering, combining sheet with wire, and forming/adding dimension. This brainstorming and skill building design exercise will be the inspiration for the next project, a dimensional bracelet or neckpiece composed of articulated units. Our last project for the semester will be a pair of earrings with prong-set stones.
Students new to me are welcome, but you should have basic jewelry/metalworking skills (soldering, sawing, filing, some forming).  Register.   

Monday Jewelry Fabrication Lab
Mondays, 2-5pm, September 12 - December 12 --- cost $293
This fabrication lab is designed to give students more time in the studio to work on their current jewelry or metalsmithing projects. No new projects given or scheduled demos, but I'm happy to help with ongoing projects. Students must have taken jewelry classes at West City or with the instructor within the past year. Register. 

Jewelry and Metalworking - Beginning to Advanced
Mondays, 6-9pm, September 12 - December 12
cost $293
Learn the basics or expand your skills while creating three projects. We'll start with a pierced and sweat-soldered pendant, move on to an articulated bracelet, and finish with a simple stone-setting project. Beginners are welcome - you'll receive lots of how-to handouts and instructions on purchasing a beginner toolkit on the first day of class. Register.

Friday Jewelry Fabrication Lab
