Anneville & Friends Blood Drive a Success!

We were blessed with fantastic weather for our visit from the San Diego Bloodmobile today! We had set our goals pretty high and didn't quite hit them, but that gives us room to improve. All in all, 9 civic-minded donors participated and we collected 8 pints of blood saving 24 lives. We also valiantly ate a lot of leftover donuts (we somehow managed to choke them down). A big thank you to everyone who donated or shared the news about the Anneville and Friends Blood Drive. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the Liberty Station community and it was great fun to walk around handing out flyers and meeting people. Shout out to our friends at the Mingei Cafe and the Hot Spot! I also want to thank the fabulous Leslie Eagan at the San Diego Blood Bank. From the custom flyers to parking assistance, she was fantastic to work with.
