At the San Diego County Fair this year, talented Anneville students and teachers took home multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in several categories … including acrylic painting!
The work period up to the fair was full of focused energy, the pre-fair sunset cocktails event was wonderful (thanks Cindy!) and the Exhibitor Night Party was great fun. Every time we came around a corner … BOOM another ribbon! And we had a great time listening to fairgoers view the work too “Oh, this one is so creative.” and “Wow, look at the detail on that!”. Two of our students were even contacted to sell their entries.
Just entering is an accomplishment so whether you won a ribbon or not, you’re a star. You have helped us put Anneville Jewelry Lab “on the radar” of many folks in the San Diego jewelry makers scene as well as the Gem and Mineral Society community, which was our key goal. This helps us attract new students and teachers, which helps us bring YOU more classes, open lab time and general maker happiness.
Thanks so much to all of our students who worked hard to get their pieces done and to @studiojulessilversmith and Kathe D. for the fabulous coaching and guidance. It was a giant success and we hope you’ll be back next year.
Fair pick-ups are now complete! If you’re a team member your work is in the safe. Stop by the Lab during class or open lab hours to pick it up. Not a member? Join the free Anneville Jewelry Club anytime by taking a class or buying a lab pass. View upcoming classes.
