Fall Jewelry Classes start September 6 at WCCPL

Fall classes start September 6 and 11
In addition to my mokume workshops at Anneville, I also teach general jewelry/metals at WCCPL (West City Campus, Point Loma). With a class maximum of 20 and a large room full of professional equipment, it is a vibrant and social place to learn. Registration for these classes is through the school, not me! Jewelry and Metalworking - Advanced 
Mondays, 9am-1pm, September 11 - November 13 (10 weeks)
cost $300 - 30% price decrease from summer!
This semester we'll be using the format of a hinged locket to explore various techniques such as etching, small-scale soldering, hinges and clasps, and chain construction. Emphasis on developing your own unique designs. Work on the suggested project, or bring your creative ideas and works in progress.
Students new to me are welcome, but you should have basic jewelry/metalworking skills (soldering, sawing, filing, finishing, texturing, some forming).  Register.  

Jewelry and Metalworking - Beginning to Advanced
Wednesdays, 6-9pm, September 6 - December 13 (14 sessions, holiday 11/22)
cost $314 - 30% price decrease from summer!
Learn the basics or expand your skills. This fall is all about soldering - we'll be making both a hollow-form pendant and a silver chain. We'll also cover texture techniques, and the basics of sawing, filing and finishing. Beginners are welcome - you'll receive lots of how-to handouts and instructions on purchasing a beginner toolkit on the first day of class. Register.

Wednesday Jewelry Fabrication Lab - First section
Wednesdays, 9am-1pm, September 6 - October 18 (7 sessions)
cost $216 - 30% price decrease from summer!
This lab is designed to give students more time in the studio to work on their current jewelry or metalsmithing projects. No new projects given or scheduled demos, but I'm happy to help with ongoing projects. Students must have taken jewelry classes at West City or with me within the past year.  Register.
