Featured Classes This MonthSpecial Patina Demo this Month At our recent patina class, Anne dazzled us all with the amazing colors achieved by a hot torch combined with exotic Japanese patinas like rokusho, Baldwin's, liver of sulfur, and the one pictured here - hi-do (pronounced hee-doh). Mokume Gane Twist Bracelet Workshop Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 9am-4pm Instructor: Anne Wolf. Tuition: $140 Twist patterning is an amazing experience - you'll twist a 6mm mokume-gane rod with common hand tools, then file or cut into the metal to reveal the star pattern beneath. You'll then forge out the rod to create an elegantly patterned mokume bracelet. Materials included! All levels welcome. Register. Introduction to Classical Japanese Metalworking Only 2 spots left! Visiting Artist Workshop - Ford Hallam 5 day intensive, March 25-29, 2019 - 9am-4pm Instructor: Ford Hallam. Tuition $825 plus tool kit. "In this class I’ll introduce the ‘kata-kiri’ chisel. This simple chisel serves as an introduction to the delicacies of chisel making. Next we’ll tackle the basic ‘V’ chisel - the bedrock of inlay and carving technique.
