Spring class schedule up at West City - classes start January 31 WCCPL (West City Campus, Point Loma) is a continuing education jewelry/metals lab only about a mile away from Anneville Studio. With a class max of 20 and a large room full of great metals equipment, it is a vibrant and social place to learn. I'll be teaching on Wednesdays there this spring - mornings for more advanced folks and/or open lab, evenings for beginners. Registration for these classes is through the school, not me! Just follow the links to register. Jewelry and Metalworking - Advanced and Lab Wednesdays, 9am-1pm, January 31 - March 21 8 weeks, cost $234 This 8 week class will focus on fold-forming - the basics for those new to the technique, further projects and design challenges for experienced fold-formers. Creating a fold-formed necklace with added prong-set stone will be demonstrated, but many other projects ideas will be presented. Students new to me are welcome, but you should have basic jewelry/metalworking skills (soldering, sawing, filing, some forming). The 4-hour class structure allows for both demonstrations and individual work time. Advanced students are encouraged to develop and pursue their own projects during class time with my guidance as needed. Register. Jewelry and Metalworking - Beginning to Advanced Wednesdays, 6-9pm, January 31 - May 23 16 weeks, cost $356 Learn the basics or expand your skills while creating three projects. We'll start with a foldformed and stamped pendant, then we'll create a small copper box. The last project will be to set a stone, either on your box lid or as a stand-alone pendant. Beginners are welcome - you'll receive lots of how-to handouts and instructions on purchasing a beginner toolkit on the first day of class. Register. Jewelry and Metalworking - Advanced and Lab, second session Wednesdays, 9am-1pm, April 4 - May 23 8 weeks, cost $234 Following on after spring break, the second session of the morning class will focus on creating a small lidded box or vessel. The lid will have a decorative element added - either a fold-form piece or a prong-set stone. Register.
